B.1963 Rugby ,Warwickshire. Graduated from the West Surrey Institute of Art & Design in 1988 with a B.A.Honours Degree in Fine art.
Tracy worked for several years in the print industry and then later in education.
Since opening her studio and pottery to the public in 2005 Tracy’s paintings are proving to be a great success and the open studio has provided the East Yorkshire coast with a ‘gem’ of a visitor attraction.
‘My paintings are concerned with subjects that intrigue me - from the design of landscape to story like imagery; I like to create places for the onlooker to escape to - away from daily reality.’

‘In addition to my figurative works, I like to explore more abstracted themes. Using colour, mood and patina to create works that are less literal, inviting emotional response.’

‘Red Stripe’
'Using manufactured materials employed in design for the home, I have translated fragments of these materials and elevated them to a place of adoration. Warm winter knitted textiles inspired this painting.'

Sea View ‘Sea View ’
“As the layers of soil crumble away, the surface of the cliff face takes on a new dimension; revealing deeper
darker layers of soil, clusters of otherwise unseen rocks, fragments of old brick buildings that have succumbed to nature’s grip, these are the elements of interest that I like to capture.”

‘Red shed’
'I enjoy taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary.
Old sheds, relics of the past, forgotten places that were once vital and industrious become things of beauty in their own right.'

Holiday on the rocks
‘Holiday on the rocks’
'Although the coast line is now littered with modern caravans devoid of character - its the old weather beaten retro caravans I favour, reminding us of happy holidays past.'
