Profile

B.1963 Rugby ,Warwickshire. Graduated from the West Surrey Institute of Art & Design in 1988 with a B.A.Honours Degree in line art. After raising a family, Tracy worked for several years in the print industry, and then later in education. She first opened her painting studio and pottery to the public in 2oo5. Since then the demand for Tracy's quirky and individual style has grown and her Galleries and Pottery provide the East Riding of Yorkshire with a 'gem' of a visitor attraction. Drawing on the UK landscape & coast for inspiration. Tracy's much sought after paintings are bursting with subjects she finds fascinating: capturing the imagination with her dramatic, nostalgic and at times, humorous style.

Her subjects vary; nostalgic holidays past, coastal erosion, the design of the rural landscape, each work evoking memories and atmosphere. 'I enjoy taking the ordinary and making it extra ordinary - Tatty houses huddled together on a crumbling sea wall, once vital and industrious communities, slowly succumbing to the elements. Such are the subjects I enjoy exploring and bringing to life.'

In addition to her figurative , she also likes to explore more abstracted themes. Using colour, mood and patina to create works that are less literal, inviting emotional response.

Hornsea is situated on the East coast of Yorkshire 15 miles east of Beverley between Flamborough Head to the North and Spurn Point in the South.
