About Tracy

Born Hillmorton, Rugby, Warwickshire in 1963.

From an early age I loved drawing, painting and creating from my imagination. I excelled at anything artistic at school and enjoyed my art classes most of all. Creative writing came second.

After leaving school I embarked on a Graphic Design Technician course at my local Art college. Although this was a more technical approach to art & design, the knowledge I gained back then has proved invaluable to my career as an artist.

I went on to study Fine Art (Printmaking) at the West Surrey Institute Of Art & Design, graduating with a B.A. Hons Degree in 1988.

After raising a family, I worked in the printing industry and later in education. In 2005, painting full time – I opened my painting studio to the public and three years later opened my first gallery in Hornsea, East Yorkshire.

The Scarborough gallery opened in August 2013. With beautiful tall windows and ideal location in the town – it’s the perfect space to exhibit my work to the local community and an ever changing audience of visitors to Scarborough.

My love of painting is my life. Living on the Yorkshire coast offers me a wealth of ideas and inspiration. Being an artist is a solitary occupation. I count myself very fortunate to do what I love for a living and to have the opportunity to share my work through my Scarborough gallery.

I hope you enjoy my work.
